Face Paint

Nearly 6 years in Second Life and I had never thought about wearing face paint. I mean Real Men don't wear makeup! Yesterday I was transported to a shop called "Face Paint" by my darling Jula. Where she was chatting with our dear friends Marge and Eve.
Eve is the owner and designer of Face Paint.
While the ladies talked, and talked and... well you get my point. I took a walk around Eve's Place. Eve had said she had a men's section. So I headed there. As I looked at her offerings, I was debating with myself If I would wear Face Paint. I bought one, then another, and another! Then Eve started loading me up!
Once I tried one on I was hooked! How did I go so long in my FASHION journey without even trying Face Paint!

Being a Fashionista is all about style.
Creating a look that turns heads.
Making a Fashion statement.
Face Paints by Eve Express will set a man apart from others.
I just evolved in my journey of Fashion.

Seagull Bombs!

Damn Seagulls! They are having a fun time bombing me. Oh well, lucky for me I buy wash n wear.
I stopped by a shop looking for a Halloween costume. Ended up buying a load of clothes from BEEFCAKE.
Tylo Mabellon is the designer of BEEFCAKE clothing line.
I fell for these men's Capri jeans. They come with cuffs, belt, and a bulge. Matter of fact all of the jeans I bought came with a bulge.
Not that I needed it.
BEEFCAKE's is geared towards the Gay male. Gay or not, it is well worth the visit. A wide selection of men's clothes.
They have all styles of shirts, jeans, beachwear, and shoes.
My sweater is called "North Shore Sweater"
I love the combo of colors. I think I bought 8 shirts, 5 jeans, and some tank tops, with plans on heading back!
Love the prices, love the styles.
Now if anyone can point me towards a gun store....

Tolerance Free

The other day I received a note card titled
"TOLERANCE IS THE ONLY WAY"
It is for a FASHION show on the 27th and 28th of October, at  Thibeau Auditorium, In Second Life.
I hope everyone can attend.
The years I have been on Second Life, I have met people from all over the world. People with disabilities In Real Life, that can escape the world they live in, and for a time leave those disabilities behind.
A place where the color of a persons skin is blind.
Where Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender
can go and live on sims, where there is no hate.
Maybe one day, we will not have to escape to a role playing game. My hope is that one day we can live together in real life as we do in Second Life.
If you have not visited one of the Gay Sims of Second Life, you do not know what you are missing. Some of the most beautiful places in Second Life! So lets support Tolerance in Second Life by supporting the Gay Sims and their business.
Tolerance Free,

Setting The Hook

Now there are two things in getting the woman you like. It is like going fishing. You know the type you are going for.Now you need to use the right bait.
There are two types of women. (Well the good ones!)
One likes Cowboys, the other likes Bikers.
Hmmm...... both of the above like to Ride!
I did the Cowboy post, now for the Biker!
Here I am standing in front of the MLCC Twin.
This photo does not do it justice! You should see how this sucker shines. Bling in just the right places!

You can't wear just any jeans and shirt on a bike like "The Twin" by MLCC Bikes.
For a special bike, you need some special riding clothes. The only place you can get them is at >Poison<. I met the dude on Flickr, once I seen his designs I knew it was a Biker's dream! Well that is a Biker's Fashion Dream. For 175L$ I got the "Bikers Pants Blue.
The shirt is Pa-que shirt Black for 120L$. It is the shits! Might have to order another, cause this one is going to get a lot of wear.
I think >Poison< is going to be taking a lot of Lindens from me.
Time to ride.
Later,
KasenK

Noya Skin

I guess the first thing you have to do for your appearance is to dump those damn freebie skins and shapes that Second Life sets you up with upon joining.
To make an impression, your looks are the first thing to work on.
I know that a lot of you are very limited on funds, so I searched SL from top to bottom looking for a decent skin to help you make that first impression. One that I found is this one. It is by Noya and he is called SEAN.
Nice skin tone, and look at those abs! Now those will turn some heads! SEAN comes with 2 skins, 2 shapes, a pair of eyes (purple) about 12 mesh swim trunks,2 eyebrows, and a pair of jeans. Hell, you would pay more just for a couple of pair of mesh swim trunks. SEAN runs around 200L$. Yeah you heard me right 200L$. You will have to buy him on SL Market Place. Just search "NOYA" She has about 4 or 5 male skins.
Well I think I will lay out on the beach, and see how many "second glances I get with these killer abs!

When It Comes To Shopping

When it comes to shopping I am not one to log on SL Market Place. I like to absorb the experience. It is getting harder to find a nice shopping experience.
Most places take forever to rez, and once you can see the shops, the lag is at full force!
If you men are like me, we have better things to do, than do some slow motion shopping!
I decided to take down a couple of my shops and sell the waste barren they sit on. One option was to set it up on our land. Di Carnelli's Photography Studio is already there. Jula and me prefer a lag free home.
So being the Man of the house, I decided to look else where.(Not to mention Jula's evil glare)
I found a small shopping area located on the  Gay Archipelago, and is called Chilipepper.
There are about 20 or more shops.
For men's clothing there are two shops, where you can buy everything in clothing that you need.
A couple of women's shops, and a few in between non-clothing shops. It is a beautiful place. Kind of one of those places you were take you better part. They would be surprise, by you choice and good taste!
Beautiful beaches, a DJ dance area right on the water.
I think I will be spending a lot of time here, taking in all the beauty, oh and shopping!
Catch you in a few,

I have to admit.....

that I might be forgetful at times. This morning as I was enjoying me a cup of joe, someone paid me, a second later they paid me again, then again. Now I know I am good, but someone sending me lindens out of the blue?
Well it seems during my year away, I left a couple of my shops open. (I was wondering why my $Lindens were way up there!) Well over the course of a year with no ads, you peeps were shopping at my stores. That must say something for these clothes! Now I am not one to plug my own stores, considering I did not know I had stores set up. So I won't. If you want to know where they are (Menlosophy and for the Ladies "Shouted Couture") just click on my profile and check my picks.
Better yet, instead of reading my sappy profile just do a search for  "The Diva".
Hope you all have a nice week!

It all starts at the Profile Pic!

Blogging don't come cheap! Why I am plugging our Photography Studio. I am standing in front of a piece I did for a model. Now how much more Glam can it get!
Like the jacket? I picked it up at JfL Men's wear.
With cooler weather coming, I wanted  something that I could wear with jeans and  a tee, and go good with some styling dress clothes. I got the best of both with JfL's Sheepskin coat. While there I picked up a fat pack of muscle shirts. I like the details of these. They really flatter my chest. (Wearing the JfL Tank top in grey). You can hit the top clubs in Second Life wearing these and turn some heads. I like JfL, they have some nice clothes.
Only had a couple of drawbacks. I nearly left before buying any shirts, since they were upstairs, which were hidden in a hole behind 2 displays. (walked by it twice!).
The other were the prices. Some might find them a little steep, but cheap is one thing you don't lack in when dressing to Kill!
Tell you what I'm going to do, since you are putting out the Lindens to walk around in style, I'll take a profile pic of you for free! You just follow this blog, and send me a message, and I'll break out the picture box and get that Glam shot for you. Guy's you know the first thing you do, when you see a fine babe walking by, you check out her profile. Well they are doing the same thing!
So stop by DiCarnelli's Studio and check out my work.
Back in a bit,
KasenK

Fall is just about here. Which means one thing.
Time to go shopping! I am starting to sound like Jula, using anything as an excuse to go shopping.
I stopped by INEDIT and picked up this all in one combo. (CrazyP-Men009 "Edward" Green-Blue) It even comes with a face light.
The sweater is a nice fit. You can wear it with collar and cuffs as seen here, or without. I really like the colors. They stand out just enough to get noticed. ( Isn't that what it is all about?)
The jeans are part of the set.
Topping it off  are my brown loafers from Redgrave.
This is the prefect wear for around the house, or local pub. I'm standing in front of our piano bar's fire place. I think I just about got it set up the way I like it. All I need to do is to get Jula's Seal of Approval!
Guys if you really want to get a girls or guys attention, you need to pick up this outfit. Also try to find a little hole in the wall type of place to spend with that special person. Jula and me set up this hangout to relax in. If you are having a hard time finding that special place drop me a line. I might just send you the landmark! Only thing, if Jula and me are having a romantic moment, just move on!

Howdy Darling

You show me a girl that don't like a cowboy, and I'll show you a girl that don't like guys!
You can't go wrong with some nice boots, belt, jeans, and a hat!
Where I come from, a cowboy hat is standard issue.
I stopped by Jungle Wear and picked up this hat, jeans and belt. (Cowboy Hat- Gray Snake, Jeans- Western Jeans 1, belt is included with jeans.
Boots- cowboy loafer black, from Redgrave.
Jungle Wear has the largest selection of men's clothes in Second Life. No matter what style you are looking for Jungle Wear has what you are looking for.
Here I am with my "never go wrong" shirt from Redgrave. (Longsleeved RETRO soft pink)
You hit the clubs wearing an outfit like this you can't go wrong. Before the night is over you will be riding a filly!
YeeeHaa!!

Morning Walk

We all need our alone time. I take mine just as the sun is is coming up. It gives me time to get my thoughts together, and Jula time to make coffee! As you can see I restyled my hair. I went to visit an old friend's shop (Muism). I picked up  Eudo/copper chestnut hair for about 125L$.  I really like the simple short, yet stylish look. Perfect for my morning walks.
A couple of years ago I woke up to a whole stack of boxes from Shiki, he was the first designer who (out of nowhere) started loading me up with some very FASHIONable Clothes!  On a late night shopping spree I picked this up.
Shiki- Light Grey Casual Jacket
Shiki- Plaid Pants (Weekend)
It is a combo set.
He sells it in several colors.
My shoes comes from my never fail me designer Redgrave. They are the "Classic Sneakers" in grey.
Guys, I can not stress enough how important it is to take some "Alone Time".
For those who are always alone, well hell you start dressing like this you will have a trail of girls behind your every step!
I think I hear Jula calling me for breakfast.
(I was wrong. She is calling to give me a (honey do) list!
Have a good one!

SL FASHION On.....

the Slutty Mature side.
I was reading some current FASHION magazines, one thing that I noticed is how much they have changed from issues of  a couple of years back. They have matured, at lease in their photos. One issue had several pages of photos where a male and female model were in some sexy poses half dressed. I am still wondering were the FASHION fits in on that shoot.
I guess it would be called cutting edge.
Times have changed I know, but I thought a FASHION magazine was suppose to be about FASHION. I guess the editors like the Cosmo look. *Turns the page. Oh a nice article about pathfinder, now that is Fashion! Maybe I should be reading Second Life Tech to read an article about FASHION?
Lucky for me they were free, other wise I would blog about them. There is one plus to it.
I can cancel my subscription to SPANK!
Really I am not a prude.
It is like going out for a nice meal and end up at MickyD's.
Now we all know a good FASHION magazine should have lots of photos of some of the top FASHION designer's current releases. A section on up and coming designers. Tips on how to look your very best, I could go on, and on.
A couple of years ago I checked into placing an ad in the top FASHION mags of Second Life.
One thing I did see, was a 20,000L$ ad. It included a photo shoot, and a article about their product.  *Turns page... Will you look at here! A nice 3 page article about a furniture designer! I wonder if that is what a 20k ad looks like?
Lets be real, that is the only way they can make money. Selling Article/Ads. That is why the magazines are free. I mean who would pay for a FASHION magazine that was about FASHION?
I know I would, but that means instead of a staff of 20, they would have to let half of them go. Then actually go out and find FASHION worth writing about, instead of having a designer or creator come to them and pay an ungodly amount of Lindens to place an article ad. Just as Second Life keeps evolving FASHION magazines keep evolving. At this rate I will have to go back to reading SPANK to keep up with the latest FASHIONS!
***** Disclaimer*****
No actual Magazines of FASHION were used in the writing of this ad article!

It seem I will be on my own for the next day or two, so I decided to haunt my old grounds.
Let just say it is way over the other side of the tracks!
Not much has changed except the wino's sitting on the corner of 5th street.
It felt good going back. Now that Jula and me are retired from the Fashion grind of Second Life, we have the time to travel and see all the new sites of SL. At times I do miss putting in the 60 plus hours of Fashion shows, and model shoots. Now that is one hell of a Lie! Ha!
I do miss all our old freinds that have also moved on. We had some good times.
Now is the time to make some new friends.
I dressed down somewhat for my day trip.
Still stylish. I went by MiMi's Choice to see what she had. One thing I like about MiMi's Choice is that she carries a wide selection of men's wear. I picked up a fat pack of shirts, vests and jeans called "Gabriel" that was 50% off, for a total of 700L$.

Shirt: Gabriel, Hell! everything is called Gabriel! Jeans, vest, shirt, and leg belt.
It is a nice combo. Ready to wear. (My Favorite!)
Since this is a new blog I decided to give you peeps some Incentives to follow this blog.
Not that giving you all the knowledge of men's Fashion is incentive to follow this blog! So I was thinking about giving out some Cold Cash gift cards of my favorite designers. This month it is from Redgrave for 1580L$!
Just hit that "Follow" button on the right. So simple those wino's on 5th could do it. Hey you women, those gift cards are good for you too! For every new 50 followers I will give one gift card out!
Until next time! (Think I will head back over to 5th and see if anyone wants to share a bottle!)

Behind Every Good Man is.......

a Jula! Lets face it what good is a man without a good woman.(Not counting freedom, partying, bar hopping)
I owe what fashion scene I have to Jula Carnell or a word she uses "Bespoke"
Now I was not that all keen about fashion or modeling when Jula and me started dating.
I did get a bit fed up with all her modeling at the beginning. I have to say it did put a strain on our relationship. Well from my stand point. So much so, that I was ready to break it off with her. I mean she did crimp my style. It was getting harder to explain being out all hours of the night doing research at strip clubs.
Then it hit me! It was either Jula or Fashion and modeling.
I chose Jula, which means I chose Fashion and modeling.
Just before I made my choice she told me she would either give up or slow down on the modeling.
For me? Hmmmmm........ Just what I had hoped for! A woman who would do anything for her man.
Only one problem. Fashion and modeling gave life to my English Rose. She had a passion for it.
I loved Jula to much to make her give up her passion. Five years in a relationship in Second Life is a life time to some. To me it has seemed only a few weeks. ( Now I hope you men are still with me.)
Fashion scene is not something you are born with. That is unless you are Jula or Chalice Carling.
Fashion is what you make it. Your own style, part of someone else. A shirt here, a tie, hat, pants, jacket and shoes. It is not what you wear, but how you wear it.
Guys you need to invest in some AO's some good walks, and stands. AO's with some attitude!
You get some AO's and Hell the women will not even noticed what you are wearing! Well unless you are in a relationship with a model.
Oh, when your girl wants to go shopping, don't even think of buying something for yourself, Let her buy your clothes. For some ungodly reason it may look stupid to you, but all the women in SL will notice you!
I mean we are men right? It;s all about being noticed! Stick with me, I will teach you how to turn every female's head in SL.
Now back to the pix up top.
Jula is more than a Fashion icon, she is My Fashion icon!
Nearly 6 years with Jula. That is Attitude!
KasenK

When It Comes To Men's Fashion......

"Can A Man Get A Break!" was my catch phrase when I first started shopping in Second Life.
Fashion for the male was limited. As in real life, Second Life fashion designs are catered around a woman.
Just as Jula and me decided to take a very long vacation  some of the top designers started to put out a men's  Fashion line.
I popped by INDI Designs and picked up this shirt and jeans combo.
Shirt: Aaron by INDI Designs comes with Tie, armcuffs, collar, and belt.
Jeans: Corey by INDI designs.
Hair: The Law in brown by Armidi
Skin: Tyler by Redgrave
Just perfect to wear out and about. A look of style, but comfortable enough to pop out for some wine and cheese.
Over the next few weeks I guess I will be setting here, watching Jula from afar as she redecorates the main house, changing everything out 4 or 5 times. Then going back to all the things that have been here the last few years. She is in charge of OUR house. I get to control everything in this house.
I have reopen DiCarnelli's Photography. Stop by and see our work. (Our Prices have not changed in over 3 years) Same great sevice! We have over 20,000 props, Yes I did say 20,000. We can set up just about anything you can think of! *Honeymoon pictures are extra!
I am setting up my office at the other end of the beach. When I find the perfect Fashion Staff I plan on bring "Fashionista Magazine into SL.
I can see Jula rolling her eyes now! I have been working on the magazine for close to 5 years. Just like a good wine, I am letting Fashionista mature.
Oh, now that I got that bottle of wine, let toast!
To a new chapter of Fashion in Second Life,
To old friends,
To new friends,
To Life!
